Alabama’s rise to number one in the AP poll may be a surprise to all of us on the left coast, but there is one man down in Moorseville, Alabama that knew they were going to be there all along.  SEC Guy, or Karol Kenton Kogslotter for those of us lucky of being welcomed into his inner-circle, joined Chad on Flight 750 Wednesday to talk about Alabama’s dominance, Nick Saban’s grumpiness and all the things wrong with Oregon and its football team.

SEC Guy begins by clarifying the recent comments made by Nick Saban in regards to the spread attack being eliminated in college football due to player safety.  SEC Guy likens the spread-option offense to one boxer throwing a barrage of punches at the opponent before the bell sounds.

“At any point does one boxer just cross the ring when the other one is sitting on the stool just resting, swishing some water in his mouth and just go start laying haymakers on them?...No…That’s not legal because it’s not fair.  If you were in a combat sport, it’s supposed to be: you saddle up and get ready, I saddle up and get ready, and let’s see who the toughest fella is.

"And instead what we’ve come to find out – especially from the Pac-10, is that they say: ‘We can’t do this like honorable men, so we’re going to have to play the sneak attack game.  And that’s what he’s complaining about.

The good doctor also spoke about Oregon football and what he expects to see if Oregon and Alabama continue on their current paths and meet up in the National Championship game.

“I like Bama by four touchdowns but it could be a tricky first half.  I could see Bama only being up by two touchdowns…Four touchdowns is a big sign of respect for me to put Oregon within four touchdowns.”

Lastly, Dr. Kogslotter makes sure to give us a doctor’s opinion of whether it’s ok to dabble with marijuana or visit dispensaries.

“Do you ever smoke poison ivy? NO!...You ever smoked any poison oak? NO!...Do you smoke strawberries? NO!...Do you smoke horse apples? NO!”

Take a listen to the interview and be sure to tune into 750thegame on October 27th as SEC Guy visits Oregon and he and Chad get the VIP table at Stars Cabaret.  But make sure to keep that quiet.  We don’t want his wife Marjean to find out.  She’s got to keep the pies coming out of the oven.
