Woman Emerges From Her Burning Home

October 5, 2012, 6:47 am

A North Portland woman was taken to the Oregon Burn Center at Legacy Emanuel after emerging from her burning home with her clothes on fire.

Neighbor Joseph Zamora and his sister found 80-year-old Eunice Crowder sitting on her front porch with her clothing melting from the flames. She's in critical condition.

Fire crews say the house fire was difficult to put out because the inside was piled high with stacks of clutter.
