Brush Fires Break Out Around The Metro Area

At least a half dozen brush fires have been reported just as fire officials issued a Red Flag Warning. It means no outdoor burning unless its in an enclosed barbecue. Most of the brush fires Wednesday including one that came close to a home in Southeast Portland were sparked by discarded cigarettes.  The metro area remains very dry. We've had just about five hundredths of an inch of rain since August.
