The Bald Faced Truth was glad to welcome legendary rock star, and famous gun rights activist, Ted Nugent on the show this afternoon. Ted joins John to discuss his new Discovery Channel series "Ted Nugent's Gun country" as it is set to air later this month.
While Ted now lives in Texas, he was originally born and raised in Michigan. He even makes time every year in October to head to Michigan's swamps with his family.
"It's where I was raised. I was taught about real conservation, and real environmentalism, by killing surplus animals and eating them. The truth is a beautiful thing."
John asks Ted if, over his dozens of hunts, an animal has every outsmarted him.
"Constantly! Everyday! This morning it was these fallow stags, an exotic species we have in our high fence operation here. I have been after them for about six years, and they always seem to know where I am." He continues, "I make sure I use every advantage I can possibly come up with, and they constantly circumvent the 'Nuge-Zone'. They constantly get away."
John and Ted continue on to have a fifteen minute conversation covering everything from Ted's lifestyle to his new show. Listen below to the interview, and be sure to tune in to
"Ted Nugent's Gun Country" next Wednesday October 10th at 10/9c.
