A new study out of OHSU reveals that some patients who undergo elective lumbar spinal fusion surgery suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder. They can suffer from anxiety and stress, and can have difficult post-op periods. Dr. Robert Hart says they are now looking at ways to lessen those symptoms.
