K through 12 schools. One billion divided
by half a million…two thousand dollars per student more. Guess where most of that money goes. PERS pensions. Tell me this, does your kid know more if
his teacher knows that twenty or thirty years from now his pension will be
The Governor brags that some
schools will add a day or two to the class calendar, only if they get more money. I’m sure that you’ll hear plenty of lawmakers
and the governor brag that Monday’s special session is “all about the kids” but
the truth is, it’s all about the money.
