After failing to catch the go-ahead touchdown a few minutes earlier, Golden Tate redeemed himself by snagging a Hail Mary toss from Russell Wilson as time expired in a surreal Monday Night Football game.
Seattle, which has an astounding 17-8 record in Monday Night Football games, a league best, was lead by it's defense in the first half, harassing Aaron Rodgers anytime he tried to drop back.

Bruce Irvin found Rodgers first in what ended up being one of eight sacks the Seahawks would rack up in the first half.

Four would come from Chris Clemons alone.

The first points would come in the second quarter, when Russell Wilson found Golden Tate deep on a play-action pass (which was eerily predicted by Warren Moon) for a 41-yard touchdown and 7-0 lead.

That score would hold until the third quarter when Green Bay would tack on a pair of field goals.

Proving it difficult to keep Rodgers clean in the first half, the Packers began relying more on their ground game as Cedric Benson would rush for 48 yards in the third quarter alone. Green Bay would also only yield one more sack the entire game.

Green Bay would then take the lead with just under nine minutes left in the game when Benson capped a 16-play 80-yard drive with a one-yard run up the gut for six. Although, the drive was kept alive by a controversial pass interference call against Kam Chancellor on third down.

A failed two-point conversion kept the Packers lead at 12-7.

Seattle would get the ball back, driving all the way to the Green Bay 7. The drive would stall when Wilson's pass on 4th and three went off the outstretched hand of Tate in the endzone.

The Seahawks would have to use all three timeouts as they prevented the Packers from leaving the shadow of their endzone on the pursuing drive.

Seattle would eventually get the ball back a final time on the Green Bay 46 with 46 seconds left. Wilson would find Sidney Rice for a 22 yard gain that brought the Seahawks down to the 26. Three straight incompletions forced Wilson to toss up a Hail Mary on the final play of the game that Golden Tate was able to pull down amongst a group of Packers.

The referees reviewed the play and determined Tate and Packers' safety M.D. Jennings had simultaneous possession of the ball, resulting in the touchdown being upheld.

Both teams left the field before being ushered back at by the referees to kick the PAT, which would give Seattle the final 14-12 outcome.

Seattle improves to 2-1 on the young season and travel to St. Louis next to play the Rams.
