A Lunch with Sonny Vaccaro

National College Basketball writer for USA Today, Eric Prisbell joined the Bald Faced Truth this afternoon to discuss his recent lunch with Sonny Vaccaro.

Eric sat with Sonny over lunch, and while they discussed a majority of issues, the one that rose to the surface was the recent North Carolina scandal.

"A lot of people thought that there were sacred cows, sacred programs, in college sports; Duke and North Carolina being two of them. Would the NCAA ever, if they had the opportunity, come down hard on those programs? Here could be the test."

Prisbell believes the NCAA is been riding a fine line with their decisions for schools recently. Their choice to punish Penn State with no court investigation has set a precedent. What will this mean for North Carolina?

"The NCAA circumvented its traditional investigation protocol to get involved with the case, not leave it to the courts, and make a ruling on it. It opens up a can of worms that could affect a variety of schools around the country, if there is criminal activity on campus involving a coach."
