Wheels' Wonderful Weekend

Most of us recognize Brian Wheeler’s deep, energetic voice every time we listen to a Portland Trail Blazers broadcast.  But this weekend someone very special got to hear Wheeler’s voice for the very first time.

On Monday, at the tender age of 50, our good friend Brian Wheeler spoke to his biological mother for the very first time.

Wheels joined The Sports Insider with Brian Berger earlier this year to ask for some assistance in how he might be able get in touch with his birth family.  He received a lot of help from the great listeners in Portland and he has been working with an investigator for several months now and just recently the team had found the person they believed to be the mother. 

And Monday he found the courage to contact the woman and grace her with that unique, powerful voice that we all know so well.
