I-5 Hit and Run Driver Identified

The driver who hit several several cars on Interstate Five southbound this morning has been identified. 60-year-old Allen Collins was frustrated by slow rush hour traffic on in North Portland hit several cars and continued on.

Collins' black 1980's Chevy El Camino was recognized this afternoon and police were called. After speaking with Collins' family, Portland Police took him to a hospital for physical and mental evaluation.

Nobody in the vehicles that were hit were injured.
