BEAVERTON, Ore. -- A woman's claim of being sexually assaulted in the middle of the day at Tualatin Hills Nature Park was false.
The 41-year-old said she got off the Max and walked for about fifteen minutes through the park off Southwest Millikan Way before the attacker struck from behind around 10:30 on Monday morning.
She claimed that he hit her in the face and pulled her into the woods where she believes he raped her. The woman went to the hospital where police were called.
Detectives say there are inconsistencies with her story and she admitted to making it up. Police though have not arrested her for making a false report.
Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation increased security after work of the alleged attack. There was never any evidence found. The description of a Hispanic man who's about 5'7" and 300 pounds being responsible was fabricated.
