Robbery Suspect David Hager
May 28, 2012, 9:20 am
Two men at a Metzger pub looked out the window and across the street at the right time Saturday night. They saw a man pushing the owner of the Metzger Market inside the store.
David Sunberg and Nolan Quigley raced to the rescue. They saw the man was holding the store owner at gunpoint. One of them distracted the robber while the other tackled him. They held him until the Washington County Sheriff's Office showed up. The gun turned out to be an air soft pistol. 21 year old David Hager now faces robbery, kidnapping and criminal mischief charges. The Sheriff's office says Hager knocked on the door after the store closed and the owner refused to open it. Hager then smashed the store owner's car windows which prompted the owner to come out and confront him. Sunberg and Quigley just happened to look out the window as Hager forced him back inside.
