Eastern Washington University pulled off the biggest upset of the weekend as the FCS Eagles took down the top-25 ranked Oregon State Beavers in Corvallis. Head Coach of the Eagles, Beau Baldwin, joined Chad Tuesday on Flight 750 to discuss the huge win.Baldwin insists that that was probably the best his team has ever played offensively.
“We got on a roll offensively and just got in a great rhythm. Vernon’s garnering a ton of the attention, and deservedly so, he played incredible. But the offense in general just operated really well.”
Baldwin also talked about where this victory ranked on his personal list of all time victories.
“It’s a big one. People ask me what does this compare to and I’m like ‘To the outside world, they sometimes remember this stuff more than the National Title game’.”
And Baldwin also said that this victory is not just a staple for the football team, it’s a staple for the University as a whole.
"It just has an incredible impact – Not only on the program but it’s big for the University as a whole. So many people in this University are a part of this. Our University, our president – We couldn’t do what we’re doing without us all working together."
