Kyron Horman's mother, Desiree Young made an emotional plea Saturday after leading a search group near NW Germantown RD and Skylind BLVD. "It was simply me wanting to find my son...We're not going to find Kyron if we are not searching," she said.
Horman has been missing since June 4th, 2010. Last seen by her stepmother Terri Horman when she took the boy to school at Skyline Elementary that morning.
The search team included 59 searchers and ten dogs. Young says the search was "successful" and that they may have found evidence. The Multnomah County Sheriffs Office says they were aware of the search but did not have any involvement. They did say that they hoped for the best and that their investigation is still ongoing.
The Sheriff's Office also did not give a timeline of when they would release details about what was found, and if it was of any significance. Neither would Young "I can't talk about the details because it is an ongoing criminal investigation," She said.
