No Smoking in Vancouver Parks
December 6, 2011, 12:03 am
With a unanimous decision, the City of Vancouver passed the controversial smoking ban. The new law would prohibit smoking in city parks and recreation facilities. The city council heard the opinions of citizens for over two hours. In 30 days, all smoking and tobacco use in parks and recreation centers will be prohibited. The law also bans drinking, unless a permit is acquired for a special event. Also this law gives the parks director a process to rid troublemakers from the parks.
