Fire Takes A Vacant SE Portland House

Portland fire crews tackled a tough vacant house fire Friday. The house in the 700 block of SE 111th. The fire bureau reports he vacant house was completely ablaze when Station 7 (Mill Park) arrived, so firefighters fought the blaze from a defensive position. Also attending the fire were Station 19 (Mt. Tabor), Station 11 (Lents), and Station 30 (Gateway). Those crews secured a water supply and protected the neighboring homes and trees. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. A damage assessment will be updated when it is made available.
