Rick Neuheisel on UCLA in his Absence

Former UCLA coach and current Pac-12 analyst Rick Neuheisel joined the BFT on Friday afternoon to discuss what difficulties Rick has faced in making the transition from coach to television analyst.

Rick spoke out about what it's like watching UCLA from the outside looking in.

"It's a little bittersweet. Last night watching UCLA play without me was not the easiest thing I've ever done."

Even though it has been a tough change, and a hard goodbye, Rick has a very positive outlook on the future.

"I certainly enjoyed my time coaching, but I kind of look at this as an opportunity to explore a new career. I feel like a 51 year old rookie."

John goes on to talk with Rick about his learning experience while coaching at UCLA, and also about the immense coach workloads behind the scenes.
