Lukus Glenn Trial Starts Today

It's been six years since 18 year old Lukus Glenn returned to his Metzger home drunk and angry.  He smashed out windows of the family home and broke down the front door.  He had a pocketknife and told his mother that he wanted to die: either at his own hands or at the hands of the cops.  Glenn was shot by Washington County deputies that night.  They said they fired because Glenn wouldn't follow their demands and they were worried about the safety of his family.  It was ruled the officers were justified in their actions and they were not held criminally accountable.  Glenn's family is suing for more than $7 million. They claim the deputies violated Glenn's civil rights when they shot him.  The lawsuit was thrown out once but the family appealed and a judge reversed the lower courts decision.
