Woodland Stops Adding Fluoride to the Water

After nearly 40 years, the city of Woodland, Washington has decided to stop fluoridating their water supply. The City Council voted 6-1 on the issue Monday. They turned it off Tuesday and it will take a couple of days to completely clear out.
Councilman John JJ Burke was in the majority. He tells KGW he did a lot of research on it and felt that it is a chemical we are putting in people's body without permission. The lone NO vote came from Councilman Al Swnidell who says the issue seemed to migrate from across the river - meaning Portland.
Last November in a contentious campaign, Portland voters said no to adding fluoride to the city water supply.
