Blazer Broadcast Area to Expand

Comcast SportsNet Northwest, which is the Blazers broadcast partner is not available in many areas, making them unavailable to many. It's been a constant complaint of fans since Comcast signed the 10-year deal in 2007. But now a new deal will bring an end to that problem for many, according to a report from the Oregonian.
CSN will announce later today that they signed a deal with Charter Communications to broadcast Trail Blazer games. Charter Communications is the major cable provider to the Oregon coast as well as central, eastern, and southern Oregon.
Charter Communication customers won't see their rates raised according to a company spokesperson, but will need to purchase a premium package to view the games which starts at $59 a month. The number to reach Charter's customer service 888-438-2427.
