Portland Mayoral Candidates Debate

Hales and Smith at center stage

After gaining the majority of the vote back in May's primary, former City Commissioner Charlies Hales and State Representative Jefferson Smith will face-off for Portland Mayor in a run-off at this November's General Election.

This was the second debate between the candidates. Their focus was on software development. It was hosted by Elemental Technologies in downtown Portland. Both Smith and Hales have promised to support small businesses if elected to office. They also took questions from voters via Twitter.
