Man Fights Police in Beaverton City Hall - VIDEO

According to the Beaverton Police Department, 18-year-old Jared Leone walked into the Beaverton City Hall Friday evening just before 6:00 p.m. and told a records clerk he was overdosing. As officers approached him, Leone reportedly took a swing at one of them. More officers made their way into the City Hall lobby and a struggle ensued.
At one point, Leone was able to get the gun out of one of the officer's holster. He fired one shot into the wall. Leone also was able to break out of the metal handcuffs he was in. They say he displayed a great deal of strength.
Leone was treated at the hospital he was lodged at the
Washington County Jail on charges of Assaulting a Public Safety Officer,
Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and resisting arrest. Leone is reportedly
from the Seattle area, although he recently attended/graduated from
Vernonia High School.
