Adam Richmond of food fame joined John Canzano, Monday, on the Bald Faced Truth to talk about sandwiches, sports, and his new show on the Travel channel.
Simply titled, “The Best Sandwich in America”, Richmond offered his thoughts concerning the qualities that make a sandwich great.  Richmond insisted that not only taste and texture matter, “the bread is important in a great sandwich it’s not just a conveyance, rather it should have character and an element to contribute to the overall flavor”.

When confronted about the obvious gastronomic repercussions of such a search, Richmond contended that when not filming the show moderation and cardio help to keep him at the top of his game.

Richmond offered his love for the Rose City, this week’s appearance on “Best Sandwich in America”,  will mark Portland’s second appearance on one of his shows.   Canzano didn’t let Adam get by without talking a little sports.   Richmond told a story about one of his first jobs in the business, at MSG TV, in which former Blazer Jamal Crawford impressed him.  However, Richmond was quick to assert that his all time favorite is Dan Marino.  Citing Marino’s on and off the field character and extensive philanthropic work as reasons for his affection.   Portlanders will recognize Bunk and Big Ass sandwiches, as Richmond continues his search for “The Best Sandwich in America”.
