Dennis "Oil Can" Boyd brings the high heat

Dennis “Oil Can” Boyd joined John Canzano of The Bald Faced Truth radio show on Thursday to talk drugs, race relations, baseball and Boyd's biggest regrets in life.

Said Boyd, "By the time I learned about cocaine, I'd already snorted it up my nose."
The Red Sox pitcher, career record 78-77, won 31 of his games in 1985 and 1986. He started Game 3 of the 1986 World Series against the New York Mets and said the worst moment of his career came with Boston manager John McNamara took the ball out of his hands for a potential Game 7 start.

"That changed my whole life," Boyd said.

Boyd has written a book, titled, “They Call Me Oil Can” about his life, and baseball.

Of particular interest is the portion of the interview in which Canzano asks Boyd about Bill Buckner's unfortunate fielding gaffe in Game 6. Boyd said he forgave Buckner immediately. Listen to the full interview:
