Pendleton Woolen Mills has been fined more than 93-thousand dollars for several dozen serious violations of work place safety and health rules at its Washougal textile mill. The fines were levied by the Washington Department of Labor and Industries which has given the company until July 13th to respond. Documents obtained by The Columbian show the violations range from not requiring workers to use protective equipment to failing to properly train employees. The mill manager says they work hard to provide a safe and healthy workplace. He also says he has not seen the report and will work with the state to understand the issues once he reviews the documents.| Add your comments below | |
