David Pedersen and Holly Grigsby are accused of going on a thrill kill that lasted for 10 days and took the couple through three states in June of 2011. Four people were killed in Oregon, Washington and California, including Pedersen's father and stepmom. Grigsby waived her appearance in federal court this morning. She's being housed in the Columbia County Jail.
Pedersen doesn't like being kept on administrative segregation. An attorney for Multnomah County says it's necessary because there have been numerous death threats against Pedersen, jail staff and other inmates because of his ties to White Supremacy.
Prosecutors have checked into having Pedersen moved to facilities in Sheridan. Defense attorneys did not like that idea. They say that would add hours to travel time to visit their client and the distance he would have to travel to Portland for hearings. No decision was made today on the conditions of confinement. The next court date for David Pedersen and Holly Grigsby is July 2nd.
