Portland Church Plans Beatles Mass

The Beatles are going to church in Portland this Sunday. St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church on SW Nicol Road is planning a worship service featuring all Beatles music. Father Robert Bryant has had the Beatles on his mind. He sings with the Portland Gay Men's Chorus which held an all Beatles concert last weekend. He decided a Beatles Mass would be a special way to celebrate the church's patronal  feast day this weekend. He says everyone loves the Beatles' music and it has a universal message. Songs will include Let It Be, Long and Winding Road,  and All You Need Is Love. The service begins at 10:15 Sunday morning.
