Jesse Ventura is a former professional wrestler and governor of Minnesota. Currently he is the host of the TruTV series Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura where he hunts down answers and plunges viewers into a world of secret meetings, midnight surveillance and shifty characters. He joined Chad on The Morning Sports Page Monday to talk about the show and his new book: DemoCRIPS and ReBLOODlicans: No More Gangs in Government.
Ventura claims he wrote the book to put into perspective how corrupt the American government has become since the start of the millennium. He is disgusted by the way the legal system has stood behind corporations and politicians and says it's absurd how money has become a form of free speech.
Ventura wanted us to know that it is offensive that some people have accused him of hating his country. Ventura maintains that he loves his country. He just hates his government. He argues that it is no different than individuals living in Germany or Japan during the 1940s.
“The Body” also went into great detail about his show “Conspiracy Theory.” He explains that in a world of information, technology and corruption, there are no secrets. He’s said he’s had members of the CIA show up to his house, follow his friends and family and they have even stopped his show from airing on television. Take a listen as Ventura divulges the crazy things that have happened to him since he’s been involved in Conspiracy Theory and be sure to watch the show on TRuTV…if it ever returns.
