Woman Trapped in Home for Four Days

It was four days of terror for a Cedar Hills woman. 67-year old Virginia Cartier was found in her home by Washington County Deputies where she was trapped. Her neighbors called the authorities when they hadn't seen her in a while, which led to the welfare check that saved her life. It turns out the 67-year old was moving furniture when a dresser fell and pinned her. She was taken to and eventually released from the hospital. SGT. Vance Stimler with the Washington County Sheriffs Office said "If not for concerned neighbors and the decisive action of the deputies on scene, the result of this situation could have been tragic".
