Somber Anniversary of Kyron Horman Disappearance
Tuesday, June 4th, 2010 is a sad day in Portland's history. 7-year-old Kyron Horman disappeared without a trace from his school. The second grader was last seen by his step-mom at his science fair at Skyline School. Since then, investigators have followed up on hundreds of leads but have never named a suspect. His father Kaine tells me police are still following up on tips and briefing him with new information, but still, there is no sign of the boy. But Kaine isn't giving up. Wearing a "Bring Kyron Home" t-shirt and bracelet, Kaine tells me that he still organizes events to raise awareness of the disappearance. He still dreams of the day when Kyron will come home and once again be apart of his life.
I had the chance to talk with Kaine about his life now and the disappearance of his son, as well as the status of civil lawsuits filed against Kyron's step-mother. You can hear what Kaine has to say Tuesday on Portland's Morning and Afternoon News programs. -Lacey
