World famous DJ, media Mogul and sports aficionado Dj Skee
joined The Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to talk sports, his media empire, and his new ventures with Mark Cuban.
who has DJ’d events such as the Superbowl, the Grammys, the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, the NHL Winter Classic, The Dew Tour and more gave Canzano insight into who he’s enjoyed working with the most so far in his young yet illustrious career, “I was actually just in Portland with Prince
, I was on the road with him, we’re doing a little book thing and just seeing him still [so good] musically; I don’t think there’s anybody that’s as good of a live performer or musician as him.” Skee went on to say, “I’ve just been really inspired being around him, I [just] see so many shows that I kind of get tired of going to concerts but I still look forward to every time that I get to go and see him.”
Skee also talked sports with Canzano and spent a moment discussing the rivalry between the Blazers and the Timberwolves, “You’re kind of our biggest rivals now out there in Portland. With Kevin Love
being from out there [Portland] and how he gets into it with LaMarcus [Aldridge]
every game, how we [the Timberwolves] tried to sign Batum
in the off season, it’s crazy how Portland and Minnesota; even have a front office rivalry. Maybe that will change now that Kahn’s gone.”
Skee didn’t just talk sports with Canzano, he also talked about his work with Mark Cuban and his future plans to own the Minnesota Timberwolves, “Mark is incredible, he’s one of the smartest and most inspirational people I’ve ever been around and he’s already taught me so much. We [Skee and Cuban] just officially signed a deal, we haven’t announced what it is; but you’ll be seeing a lot more of me on his TV network [AXS.TV
Skee continued, “I told him [Mark Cuban
] my goal is to own the Minnesota Timberwolves
, [Skee told Cuban] I’m going to help you out with this media stuff, but I need you [Cuban] to help me figure out how to own a sports team; he [Cuban] said ‘I got you.’ He [Cuban] said Glenn Taylor is looking to sell anyway but he [Taylor] wants to keep it in Minnesota.”
