Oregon Search for Missing Utah Woman Called Off

The search of a farm in Scotts Mills for missing Utah woman Susan Powell has ended with no sign of her. She disappeared in December of 2009 and her husband Josh was strongly considered as a person of interest.
Over a dozen searchers spent the past two days looking for clues after a tip from Susan's father, Chuck Cox. The property had ties to the Powell family.
"I'm disappointed," said Cox. "I just don't know where she is, but we'll keep looking for her."
Susan's blood was found on the floor next to a sofa
that appeared to have been recently cleaned with fans blowing air on it. There were life insurance policies on Susan, and ten days later Josh filed paperwork to withdraw
money from her retirement account.
Josh Powell denied
any involvement on the night that Susan disappeared. He drew attention when he took the couple's two young boys
on a camping trip in freezing temperatures at midnight.
He then moved to Washington, and last year locked a social worker out of his home during what was supposed to be a supervised
visit. He attacked his sons with a hatchet and torched the house.
On a side note, Josh Powell's father, Steven will be free from jail later this month after serving time for taking voyeuristic pictures of two young girl who were his neighbors.
