I'll Hear You Out If You Hear Me Out.

Today I took a call from John in Beaverton. He was a naysayer that attempted to call me on my views towards illegal immigrants. I'm a huge supporter of open debate, but John didn't want to let me tell my side of the story. If you're confident that you're right about an issue, then you'd have no problem listening to an opposing viewpoint. John used the oh, so lovely tactic that so many people who aren't educated on the issues use: the person who yells the loudest is automatically right. I ended up cutting John loose after it was apparent that he had no intention of listening to what I had to say. He later called back, only to join the list of banned callers. Don't be like John in Beaverton. Get educated on the issues before you try to debate.
