White Powder Evacuates OR Dept. of Revenue

A worker at the Oregon Department of Revenue in Salem found a suspicious letter with white powder. The first floor of the building on the Capitol Mall was evacuated this morning.
A machine was used to slice open an envelope, creating a cloud of powder in a worker's face. Seven employees who may have come in contact with the envelope in a mail room were quarantined. They did not show signs of health problems.
The Army National Guard was called in to examine the material. It appears that the substance was not dangerous, something like energy powder, but more tests are needed to confirm.
