Sometimes numbers don't tell the whole story and in the case of Chuck Charnquist it rings true. Charnquist, the statistician, archivist and historian for the Portland Trail Blazers
for the past 43 years joined John Canzano on The Bald Faced Truth to talk about his career and retirement.
Chuck Charnquist who started doing stat work with the Blazers organization in 1970 has seen the evolution of how stats are compiled during a game through the use of technology.
"I've been very fortunate of going through the transition of doing it by hand, there were no computers obviously no cell phones nothing like that," Charnquist recalled of his early days of keeping stats.
"It's gonna be a little hard, 1,932 games I did some stats on that and that's five years of my life at Blazer games," Charnquist said about stepping away from a legendary career.
Chuck Charnquist also talked with John Canzano about some of the great people he was able to work with during his career with the Portland Trail Blazers.
