A Big Win For Private Industry!

I love being able to chalk up a win for private industry. That's exactly what happened today. I got an e-mail from a veteran, took the concern to Congressman Greg Walden, and wouldn't you know it, we got an entire section of VA medical care privatized.

Veterans have been complaining about waiting for eye glasses for sometimes up to 6 or more months. Figures. People had been complaining about it, but the government doesn't like to concern itself with the problems of citizens until one of their own takes up a cause. That's about the only time they'll pay attention. Congressman Greg Walden got the ball moving and they changed the entire system in less time than it takes for these people in need to receive what they've ordered.
