A man learned that it was not bright to rear-end a car right in front of Portland Police Central Precinct downtown and try to take off. He may have been drunk.
Officers saw the man hit the car last night near SW 2nd and Madison. As he tried to get away, 36-year-old Jeffery Fuller is accused of slamming into a police cruiser over and over.
The officer turned on his lights, and Fuller backed into the patrol car. He jumped a curb and hit a fence before smacking into the cruiser again, backing up and ramming it several more times.
Fuller ran and was tazed right in front of the police station. He was walked in through the doors about 100 feet away.
He's charged with attempted assault, criminal mischief, DUII, reckless driving, and failing to perform the duties of a driver.
