Today's Caller of the Day

Every once in a while I'll bring up a topic that I feel passionately about and then a caller will call up and just douse it in gasoline to the point where it explodes. When I heard Gary call in from La Grande, it didn't quite register with me until right after I finished with his phone call that this is happening all over the country. Not just here in Oregon and in the small towns and communities around Portland, but everywhere. I've said several times that we still have a certain amount of control over our government on the national level, despite Obama's wishes, and that it's the smaller to medium sized local governments that we have to watch out for because they will sneak up on you.

Gary's call is the perfect example of that. Government spending at its very most mind-numbing...
