Church Robbed, Congregation Loses Service

A thief spent five hours ransacking Central City Christian Church in Southeast Portand. It happened in the early morning hours Sunday, just eight minutes before staff arrived.
Head pastor David Brink says the burglary makes him feel "very violated and kind of devastated. It just makes you feel week in the knees".
The thief made their way through the entire church, going room by room. They stole $5,000 worth of equipment including amplifiers, microphones, and speakers.
That forced Brink to do something he's only done for weather. Cancel Sunday services. "That was such a disappointment to stand out in front of the church, as our members were pulling up to come to church on Good Friday weekend, and have to tell them that there is no church today," Brink told our news partner KGW.
Brink believes the thief had an accomplice help him haul the loot away. He also says the burglar spent a lot of effort and time breaking into the safe, which was empty.
