Portland Dog Park Closed

A Southwest Portland dog park will be closed for the next 3 weeks because of a parasite that has made at least two dogs sick.  The off leash area at Gabriel park has been shut down after the dogs were diagnosed with Giardia. It's an intestinal infection caused by that parasite that lives in standing water.  Portland Parks and Rec says the State Vet recommenced the closure. It's set to reopen April 12th.
