Make Voter Registration Automatic?

Oregon Secretary of State Kate Brown wants to make voter registration automatic. She's unveiling a plan to use driver's licenses and other government data to automatically register eligible voters.

Some lawmakers are concerned about security and whether it would give any political party an advantage.

Secretary Brown says the goal is to get ballots in the hands of every eligible Oregon voter.

Only one state in the country allows automatic voter registration, North Dakota.
