Rand Paul, fresh off his 13-hour, marathon filibuster, took some time to join me today for a 9 minute mini-filibuster.
He said that the filibuster was necessary to get the answers he needed from John Brennan regarding the use of drones on American citizens on American soil. Prior to the filibuster, Brennan seemed to basically avoid the question all together.
The basic point Senator Paul was trying to make is that you can't kill an American unless they are engaged in combat, without due process.
