Sexual Assaults On the Rise at PSU

Maseeh Building on SW 4th Avenue

A female student claims that a man grabbed and rubbed up against her while making sexually suggestive comments on the Portland State University campus.  She says it happened Monday afternoon outside the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science at SW 4th and College Street.

The man is described as white, in his 20's, 6'0", with a stocky build and scruffy beard.  He was wearing a gray stocking cap with tassels, a blue rain jacket and green bandana.

This is the latest in a series of sexual attacks reported on campus.  There were similar reports in November and December.  In fact, last year 54 sex crimes happened within a half-mile of PSU.

Student government has been speaking with students on how to prevent these sexual assaults.
