Pilot Makes Hard Landing Near Albany

The pilot of a small biplane made a hard landing in a field west of I-5 near Albany this morning after the brakes failed.
68-year-old Kent Wooldridge was not injured and walked away from the crash. He was dusting crops when winds picked up and caused the malfunction.
As he attempted to land on his property at the Wooldridge Airstrip just south of the Santiam River, the 1978 Grumman Ag Cat crop duster veered right and landed nose down in blackberry bushes.
The impact dented a wing and damaged the propeller.
