Mason: From The Court To The Canvas

The Portland Trail Blazers got the 2012-2013 season rolling in the right direction with a win over the Los Angeles Lakers. They face off against the Oklahoma City Thunder Friday night in game number two of this young season. Former Thunder superstar and 2001 NBA Slam Dunk Champion, Desmond Mason joined John Canzano of the Bald Faced Truth to preview the game.

Desmond and John talk about the trading of James Hardin and how the Thunder fan base has reacted to the big trade with the Houston Rockets.

"Initially a lot of people were very upset about it he was definitely a popular player here, his talent was integral in last season in the way those guys played and the success they had."

Desmond played some guard in the NBA and John got his thoughts on the opening night performance of Blazers rookie Damian Lillard.

"He looks really good, he's a phenomonal young player you can see it already, you know a game or two in and he's pretty talented."

The conversation also turns to life after basketball as Desmond talks with John about his business ventures and his work as an artist and broadcaster.
