Wal-Mart Truck Gets Stuck in Predicament
February 25, 2013, 3:40 pm
A driver making deliveries for Wal-Mart relied too much on GPS, and it got him in trouble. The near 14'-tall truck tried to make it under a railroad crossing on River Road that only had a clearance of 12'9".
63-year-old Glenn Bickford told Marion County Sheriff's deputies that he believed the truck and trailer would fit. The wreckage was lodged at a 45 degree angle under the overpass for most of the day. Bickford was cited for violating traffic laws.
Two people in a tow truck that came to free the truck were injured in a crash.
