Pedestrian Hit & Killed By Bus

A woman was run over by a C-Tran bus and dragged under the wheels at the intersection of 8th & Washington in Vancouver late Friday morning.  The bus that hit the victim was a #4 Jantzen Beach line.  Reports are that the driver was turning when the bus struck the woman in a crosswalk.  Streets in the area were closed for several hours during the investigation. The bus company has put the driver on paid leave while they investigate.
