Semi Rolls Off I-84 Ramp to I-5 NB

The driver of a semi suffered life threatening injuries early this morning when his rig hit a vehicle on the I-5 northbound on ramp from I-84. The tractor trailer rolled off the ramp  and landed on a parking lot 60 feet below the freeway near Pacific Fruit Company.

The driver was pinned inside the cab of the truck and had to be pulled out by Portland Fire and Rescue. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.


The wreck closed the northbound I-5 ramp from westbound I-84. Cause of the crash is under investigation.
