AMC's hit TV show
"The Walking Dead" has taken Hollywood by storm and become one of the most popular TV shows on cable television. Actor
Michael Rooker who plays the character Merle Dixon joined John Canzano on The Bald Faced Truth to talk about his career, upcoming appearance in Portland and "The Walking Dead".
Some actors get stereotyped early in their career as either a good guy or a villain. Michael Rooker has played many villain characters in Hollywood but has shown versatility to flex his talents in many different directions.
"I like playing whoever wants to pay me the most, if it's bad, good, somewhere in between I don't know, that's ok with me," Michael Rooker told John Canzano when asked if he prefers a good guy to playing a villain.
Actors who have had a lot of success often get to pick and choose which medium they prefer, either television or movies. Most actors go where the jobs are and in many cases build a nice career floating between TV and the big screen.
"I enjoy working on film because you know you don't have to work as hard as you do on television, that's for sure," Michael Rooker laughingly told John Canzano after being asked which medium he prefers to work on.
Michael also talked with John about his upcoming appearance in Portland at the
Wizard World Portland Comic Con on February 23rd and 24th.
