After dropping some close game, the pillars of this Blazer team spoke today on how they plan to get back on track.
Firstly, they ask Aldridge about the “spirited” practice today and how the team can bounce back from losing the three of the past four. They talk about when LaMarcus received his news on making the All-Star team and who were some of the first people he told. On top of that, they dig into if he wants to make the National team and what he thinks it will take to do that. Aldridge also expands on how he’s dealing with his new role as the team leader and how long it took for him to fully accept the adjustment. Lastly, LaMarcus gives his thoughts on what he thinks might help the team down the home stretch of this season and he talks about an exchange he had with Raymond Felton.
They start by asking why Nate was yelling in practice and if he had done it before. The media asked if it was a certain player or if it was the whole team that needed the disciplined. Next the questions move to Nate’s rotation and if he plans to change it after his team’s recent poor play. McMillan breaks into talks about LaMarcus Aldridge and how he thinks his forward is settling into his new role. Then things start to get tense when the crowd asks the coach how he feels about Raymond Felton this season and if he feels that Felton should keep his job as the starter. Finally Nate moves onto Nicolas Batum’s production so far and later explains if he plans to change his rotations any time soon.
